Tony Spat, Director, Geologist
Tony Spat M.SC., P. Eng., has had a truly remarkable career as an international exploration geologist and engineer. Noted for being the first one up the hill, it would be difficult to find a mineral project or prospect where he doesn't have some first hand knowledge.

Recieved the 'Special Achievement Award From The Prospectors And Developers Association Of Canada 2005'
Mr. Spat has has won this award for his lifetime commitment to prospecting and for his discovery of the Angostura gold-silver project in northeast Colombia. This deposit, owned by Greystar Resource, is being drilled and shows indicated resources of 2.1 million oz. gold with 7 million oz. silver and inferred resources of 4.1 million oz. gold with 13 million oz. silver. Experience
Born in France, Mr. Spat worked as a mining engineer in several countries in Europe before emigrating to Canada. Upon his arrival in Canada, he first went to work for Mindamar Metals and then Malartic Goldfields. In 1963 he joined Newmont Mining Corporation as a Senior Geologist and examined mineral properties and projects for them throughout the world. In 1970, he joined Placer Development Limited (now Placer Dome) as Field Manager for Foreign Exploration where he examined mineral properties and initiated, supervised and coordinated exploration programs in sixteen different countries. In 1979 Mr. Spat left Placer and for the next 15 years worked as an independent consultant for various companies.
